A shout out to Amy!!

Amy is one of the funnest people I have met! She is animated, caring, genuine, beautiful and creative. Even before I met Amy, people were talking about this sassy, hot momma who can entertain a whole room! Someone said to me, "You haven't met Amy? You will love her; she is such a kick!"

Pancakes & Coconut Syrup!

My sweet grandma sent me her recipe for Aunt Doris' amazing cocnut syrup this morning, so thought I'd share with all my breakfast-lovin sisters out there! Enjoy!

COCONUT PANCAKE SYRUP

½ cup butter
½ cup buttermilk
1 cup sugar
½ tsp soda
1 tsp coconut flavoring

Place all except flavoring in a medium saucepan and cook and stir until it has boiled for one minute. It will foam a lot. Remove from heat. Add 1 tsp coconut flavoring. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator. Best if served warm. Delicious on pancakes, waffles, French toast etc.
You can change the flavor to pineapple, strawberry, orange etc. and have a variety of syrups….

I really need a little girl....

Okay, so although I am so thankful for boy things- soccer, t-ball, karate, boat races in the ditch, wrecking on bikes, stinky feet, stains on every nice shirt, obsessions with poop, popcicles, water guns, water balloons, wanting pizza every night for dinner, huge empty boxes, spitting, dirty hands, not wanting to brush teeth or comb hair, massive peices of machinery, wanting a wallet with chain????.... I am also just as thankful that I have the sweet little boy I do, who allows me to play like he's a girl once in a while and be a good sport about our occational trips to the beauty shop with his momma!

Sweet Braden

We had so much fun playing with Braden last night at Dallin's T-ball game! We just don't see see him enough! Thank you AM for sending your darling little boy to spend some much needed time with us!

Dallin had such a good time with his 7 cousins! We made a huge bed on the floor and they crashed right there watching movies ALL night....until 10:30 pm!

Home Sweet Home....

Seven more days .....and our Mimi will be coming home!!! Although, she has had such a great experience, we have missed her so much and can't wait to have her home!

Updates over the last 3 months!!!

Poor Dallin had a really crazy thing happen. We woke up one morning and the entire right side of his face was completely swollen. I imediately rushed him into the dentist where they took care of his infected tooth. The next day the swelling had gotten worse, so we rushed him into the hospital for an emergency surgery to remove the tooth and releive him from the infection and presure that had been building up into his eye. Everything went beautifully, and I am so glad for such a wonderful doctor who was so responsive.
This is the day after Dallin's surgery. He was still so swollen and sore, but didn't care because he was too excited to play with his prize that he picked out for being so good with all the things we had to do in the operating room.
Dal decided he wants to learn to golf like his grandpa, so we took a trip to the pro shop in St. George and picked out a set that was just perfect for my little man. It's been too cold for him to practice in Cedar City, but he has gotten to play a little on the course in St. George.
Dallin has been working so hard in karate and finally earned his yellow belt. He was so happy, and I was very proud of his accomplishment!
